As a member of the WWGA you may be eligible to play in the Mason Dixon District (MDD). MDD is an interclub league established in 1987 to promote women’s golf throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, northwestern Maryland, northeast West Virginia and northern Virginia. Becoming a member of MDD is a wonderful opportunity to meet women golfers from other clubs and play great courses in a competitive format. Some of the best golfers in the area belong to MDD, including the West Virginia Senior Women’s Champion. But don’t let that scare you, they welcome all WWGA members with a course handicap of 30 or less and most of the women in MDD have handicaps of 20 or more.
The league is comprised of eight clubs including The Woods and each club sponsors one tournament during the season. These clubs are:

-
Holly Hills Country Club in Maryland.
-
Chambersburg Country Club in Pennsylvania.
-
Winchester Country Club, Loudoun Country Club, Shenandoah Valley Golf Club, and Stoneleigh Golf and County Club in Virginia.
-
Cress Creek Country Club and The Woods in West Virginia.
As a member of MDD League you have the option of entering to play in any or all of the tournaments. Tournament formats vary for each club and can be viewed under Tournament Schedule in the pull-down menu above. The schedule has both individual and team stroke play tournaments. Tournaments are all flighted so players are playing with women of similar ability. Each tournament costs $65 to enter which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, green/cart fees and Pro Shop credit for the winners of the tournament. “Fun Day” tournaments may be scheduled and are open to non-MDD members who are interested in joining or just want to play in an MDD event.
In addition to competing for the prizes at the Tournaments, points are awarded to the players and their home club. At the season end lunch, awards are given for the top players as well as the club that accumulated the most points. The Woods has won the trophy for the most accumulated points 3 times (2014, 2017 and 2019) since joining MDD in 2013.

To participate in MDD events you must:
